For a racing enthusiast, there is nothing to beat the feel of power, acceleration, the sound of engines and the smell of petrol. And this was proved right at the 3rd YZF R15 Racing Championship, organized by India Yamaha Motor on Irungattukottai Race Track, as a part of its efforts to herald motor sports culture in India.
This time around 100 participant competed on the race track. The bike enthusiast participated not only from south India but also from Delhi and Surat.
Winner of the 3rd YZF-R15 Championship, Mr. Shri Kandaraj from Karnataka , Mr. Vinod from Karnataka and Mr. Raj Kumar from Tamilnadu were respectively adjudged winner, 1st runners up and 2nd runners up in Category B comprising high skill riders. Mr. G.A. Santosh from Karnataka, Mr. M.S. Sudheesh from Kerala and Mr. M.C. Rahul from Andhra Pradesh were respectively adjudged winner, 1st runners up and 2nd runners up in Category C comprising other riders.
First time Yamaha had added two special category prizes in this edition of YZF-R15 Racing Championship- Owner of Best looking R15 bike and the best riding gear dressed Rider. The best riding gear dressed up Rider title won by Mr. Ajay from Tamilnadu and the title for to the best looking R15 went to Mr. Mahesh from Karnataka
