Álex Rins took a gamble, opting for a bike swap when rain started to fall seven laps into the Race. But when the shower abruptly stopped shortly after, he needed to make a second pit stop and finished in 19th position.

He wrapped up the 30-lap contest at the Sachsenring in 11th place. Remy Gardner enjoyed his second race experience aboard the YZR-M1, completing it in 20th position.

Having shaken off the chasing rival, the second half was calmer for the Frenchman. He finished the Dutch GP in 12th place. Álex Rins suffered an unfortunate crash as he entered Turn 1 on the opening lap of the 26-lap contest. After a medical check, he appears to have fractured his right foot and he has a severe bruise on his right wrist. His attendance at the German GP is TBC.

The duo joined forces for nearly the whole race, initially with Quartararo in the lead, and Rins taking charge with four laps to go. The Spaniard rode to 13th place, while the Frenchman took 15th position.

It was an emotional, eventful, and hard-fought Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana Race for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo. Morbidelli wanted to say goodbye to the team in the best way possible and pushed from P19 on the grid to P7. Quartararo was struck by illness but still soldiered on, riding from P15 to P11.
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Fabio Quartararo stretched the legs of his YZR-M1 in the 22-lap Grand Prix of Qatar Race. He made up a total of six places to take 7th at the chequered flag. Franco Morbidelli had a good start but struggled to push like he wanted to. He engaged in a tough battle for 15th place, but ultimately finished 16th.

The Grand Prix of Japan MotoGP Race proved to be unpredictable today. Spots of rain on the grid just as the warm-up lap was about to start added extra tension before the 24-lap race. The turn in the weather conditions ultimately caused both the Race and the restart to be red flagged. It was decided that the grid positions of the restart would count as the final result. Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli held 11th and 18th place respectively at the time of the red flag but gained a position through one rival not taking part in the restart, so Quartararo added five championship points to his tally.
The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP teammates withstood incredibly difficult riding conditions and reaped the rewards. Fabio Quartararo stood on the podium after the very first Grand Prix of India. Franco Morbidelli rode from P15 to P7, earning solid points.

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Fabio Quartararo fought like a lion today to take a brilliant second place at the Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley. The result extends his championship lead by 4 points to 8 points in total. Franco Morbidelli also showed fighting spirit in his and the team’s home race. Completing the opening lap in 24th place, he clawed his way up the ranks to finish in 17th.
